Voting

Voting takes place in March every year - read below for more info about how it works.

During voting week, candidates will be campaigning for student votes across campus to secure the positions. There will be impartial JMSU ballot stations around campus where students can cast your vote, or you can vote using your mobile, laptop or computer at home or wherever suits you!

We suggest reading through the manifestos to see which ones resound with you. Don't ever feel pressured to vote for a specific person - the choice is entirely yours.

INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO VOTE

  • Voting is done online. We will send out an email to all students with a voting link.
  • You will be asked to rank your preferences for each position.
  • You need to have opted in to sharing your data with JMSU to receive your email with a voting link. To check whether you have opted in, or to update your settings if you have not opted in, visit your LJMU account here.

If you have any problems or questions, email elections@ljmu.ac.uk and we will get back you as soon as possible.
