NUS National Conference

NUS National Conference happens once a year and it is where we get to have a say in what the national union believes and campaigns for. Every year we run elections so that LJMU students can be selected by their fellow students to represent LJMU at the NUS National Conference. They will represent you on a wide range of issues such as the NHS, university fees, Brexit, votes at 16, worker’s rights, sustainability, equality and diversity and much more.

If you would like to find out more about attending and how to run please get in touch on . You can find out more about NUS National Conferece here.

As a Students' Union, we are proud of our commitment to being an inclusive and diverse organisation - but we recognise our engagement isn't as diverse as it could be, and are currently under represented in, among others, the following areas:

  • Students of Black and Asian minority ethnicity
  • Disabled students
  • Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender + students
  • Part time students
  • International/EU students,
  • Postgraduate students
  • Mature students
  • Health based students

We would encourage students who identify in these groups, to submit a nomination.

Elections will be held in November, more details to follow, and the Conference will take place in Glasgow on the 27-29th March 2018. Accommodation and Travel will be provided by the union so you won't be out of pocket.
