Improvement Impact Award

Background

At our Rate Your Landlord follow-up visits with accommodation providers, several team members visit providers with concise results with feedback where we celebrated the areas where performance was good and scores were high. We also looked at how halls, letting agents and landlords could further improve their service for students.

As a result of these meetings, here at LiverpoolSU we have decided to reward these providers with a new category this year, the Improvement Impact award. This is for the improvement, large or small, that is considered to have the strongest impact on overall student experience in the accommodation. The winner will be announced at the January launch of the 2015 Rate Your Landlord process.

To be eligible for the Improvement Impact Award, accommodation providers had to submit an action plan of the improvements that have planned to undertake. The Community team then contact the providers to follow-up and see how they're getting on with their plans. Our independent panel consists of a Student Trustee, the manager of Liverpool Student Homes and another student. All of these representative do not work for nor live in properties associated with those in the Rate Your Landlord awards.

This panel met on Wednesday 10th December 2014 and after much deliberation, a decision was made on the first winner of this new award. This winner announced on Wednesday 7th January at our Rate Your Landlord 2015 launch event.  After reviewing evidence the selection panel unanimously decided that the award criteria had been best met by Premier Properties. Congratulations to them on receiving our inaugural Improvement Impact award!
