We’re celebrating Student Volunteering Week (10-13 February) and you’re invited! Explore volunteering opportunities that let you give back to the community, spread some love, and boost your CV.

We’ll be popping up across campus throughout the week, plus hosting a Volunteering Fair on Wednesday 11 February, where you can meet local volunteering organisations, find an opportunity that suits you and get help matching your skills and interests.

Nominations are now open for the JMSU Student Officer Team 2026/27. We’re looking for students who want to make real changes at LJMU. Four students are elected into paid, full-time roles to represent students, lead big projects, and improve teaching, cost of living, wellbeing, and campus life.

No experience needed — just ideas, passion, and the drive to improve student life. Drop us an email at studentsunion@ljmu.ac.uk for an informal chat.

Become a Student Trustee 💥

Great for your CV. Real impact for students. We’re recruiting 3 Student Trustees to join the JMSU Trustee Board and help shape the future of your Students’ Union.

You’ll help make sure the student voice is heard, gain hands-on experience in leadership and decision-making, and build skills that look great on your CV. The role is open to all current LJMU students, is voluntary, and starts in July (up to a 2-year commitment).

We particularly encourage applications from PGR, commuter, degree apprenticeship, and nursing students.
