The Night Time Economy Guardian Scheme

Volunteering is something we are passionate about, as well as our student safety. our Night Time Guardian Scheme offers the opportunity for Students to get involved and volunteer some of their time to help students on nights out.

What is a Night Time Guardian? 💭

Night Time Guardian's go out into the Night Time Economy during times students will be out and about in Liverpool city centre and the surrounding areas. Guardians will be on hand for students who are vulnerable or need a bit of assitance by handing out water, flip flops, signposting to relevant support services such as emergency services. This support may even be ordering taxis for people, charging peoples phones for them or trying to help them contact their family or friends. Guardians will be seen as safe people of contact for students to approach if they need some help, and will work closely with other stakeholders such as bar and club staff, the police and the night street pastors.

What training will you provide? ✅

We will give free training to all prospective Guardians including First Aid, Mental Health Awareness and Bystander Awareness courses - all amazing things to pop on your CV! We will also provide Uniforms and backpacks with resources for volunteering support.

What will I gain from this?💌

You will be able to gain some amazing work experience if you're passionate about helping others stay safe. If you register and log all the hours you put in, we will award you at the end of the year at our annual Society and Volunteering Awards!
