Cost of Living

Helping You with the Cost of Living

At JMSU, we understand that the Cost of Living Crisis is hitting students especially hard.

From rent and commuting to household bills, food costs, and shrinking maintenance loans, students are facing more financial pressure than ever before.

In response, we’ve launched a dedicated campaign to support LJMU students throughout the academic year. Explore the links below to discover how we’re helping you save money.

Got Feedback or an Idea?

We want to hear from you! Whether it’s a suggestion, concern, or a bright idea – your voice can help shape life at LJMU.

Half Term Hampers

Calling all Parents and Carers!

We recognise that the cost of living squeeze is having a particular impact on students who are parents or carers. During half terms, when free school meals aren’t as easily available, that squeeze becomes even tighter.

If you are a parent or carer and a student of LJMU, you qualify for one of our Half Term Hampers!

To receive support first-hand, please follow the link below to join our Parent & Carer register. We’ll then be in touch with more info on how to claim your hamper ahead of each Half Term break:
