The Environmental Sustainability and Energy Team at LJMU are working on a number of workstreams, including carbon and energy, biodiversity, waste, and travel, among others. Volunteering with the team not only supports LJMU to reach its objectives for environmental sustainability, but will provide learning experiences and opportunities to make a positive impact on campus and in the local community.
Join us as we plant up bulbs and bedding plants ready for spring to be used in our Tithebarn Gardens. Due to weather and time of year, we'll be planting bulbs inside in containers which can be kept until its warmer and they can be put in the Tithebarn beds. This will be followed by a guided session on how to make DIY bird feeders from household items, to help local birds during the cold months. All tools and guidance provided. No prior experience necessary.
