Hi! 👋
It's nearly summer and we hope you find time for a well-earned break - there's just a couple of things we think you should know before you forget the login for your uni emails over the summer (yes, we know you stop reading these 👀).
To help make your clear out easier and more sustainable - we're hosting a Leave Liverpool Tidy day of action on Thursday 22nd May.
The way it works is simple - gather all the stuff that you do not wish to move to your new place (such as clothes, kitchen equipment, housing decorations or tinned food), and bring them to one of our three drop-off points to be collected and repurposed:
1️⃣ SLB (with free ice cream! 🍦)
2️⃣ Kensington Fields Community Centre
3️⃣ Webster Road/Whithorn St junction
Ready to help make positive changes to your student experience? Apply to be one of our Student Voice Leaders – meet new people, develop your skills and make a difference!
Liverpool is getting ready for one of the biggest weekends of the year, and there’s plenty of chances for you to get involved.
We want to hear from trans students at LJMU. Whether you've had positive experiences or faced challenges—we want to listen, learn, and act!
If you’re interested in contributing, please contact JMSU-EDI@ljmu.ac.uk
We’re inviting ethnically diverse students to take part in focus groups as part of LJMU’s work towards the Race Equality Charter. This is your opportunity to share your experiences, challenge barriers, and shape the changes needed to create a more racially equitable university.
If you’d like to get involved, please contact JMSU-EDI@ljmu.ac.uk
Looking for things to do over the summer - have you considered volunteering?
That’s all for this newsletter folks – your newsletters will be back in September with all things Freshers!
