About Us
Welcome to the LJMU Karaoke Society! We are a lively and welcoming group of students united by a passion for music and singing. Our society is for absolutely anyone who enjoys a singalong. Whether you’re looking to belt out your favourite tunes, discover new songs, or just hang out and enjoy the performances. We keep things relaxed and fun, creating a supportive environment where nerves quickly fade away and confidence soars. We love to mix it up with themed nights like Girlboss Night celebrating female artists, Throwback Classics, and more, ensuring there’s always something fresh to look forward to. The Karaoke Society isn’t just about singing; it’s about building friendships, creating great memories, and finding your personal karaoke anthem.
Key Information
We meet every Tuesday at 6 PM at Celtic Corner, a cosy and convenient venue located close to both the Student Life Building and Lime Street Station. Our sessions run weekly during term time, so you’ll always have a regular chance to join in. Booking is required through the JMSU Native site each week. Tickets are free for members (membership is just £3 for the entire academic year) or £3 per session if you don’t have a membership. Keep an eye on our social media channels for special themed nights and surprise events to keep the energy high and the fun flowing all semester long.

Committee
Each society is led by a student committee responsible for running the society, organising activities, and representing its members. The committee is chaired by the Society President, with support from other elected roles.
