Register your organisation

Our team will approve your application

After completing the spam check, you’ll be redirected to the home page with a message confirming your application has been submitted. You’ll also receive an acknowledgement email.

Once approved, you’ll receive an email with a link to upload and manage your opportunities. If redirected to the home page, simply click Sign in and use your registered email and password.

Create volunteering opportunities

  • After logging in, hover over your name and select Manage Opportunities to view and add roles.
  • New opportunities go live by default, but you can switch them to Draft if you want to save progress.
  • Select skills carefully – avoid listing too many mandatory ones as this may discourage volunteers.
  • You don’t need to complete the availability calendar as we don’t use this feature.
  • You’ll receive confirmation emails when a role is created and once it’s approved.

Managing applications

  • When someone applies, you’ll receive an email notification with a link to review.
  • Use the cog icon to approve or decline applications. Declining requires a reason, which is emailed automatically to the applicant.
  • Confirmed volunteers will receive a confirmation email. You can liaise with them directly by viewing their profile via the cog menu. Exporting volunteer lists is also possible.

Managing timesheets

  • Students submit timesheets via their profile. You’ll receive an email when one is submitted.
  • Log in, open the timesheet via the cog, and approve or decline it.
  • Provide feedback when approving or declining.
  • The student will be notified of the outcome and feedback by email.

Service level agreement

Volunteering is a rewarding opportunity for both students and organisations, but there are a few terms and conditions to be aware of. You can review our Service Level Agreement, or request a copy via email at jmsuvolunteering@ljmu.ac.uk.
