Adopt a Society

Sometimes we have societies without a committee to organise activities and support members. Without a committee, societies can't run as they should and so they become inactive. These inactive societies just need some TLC from someone interested in taking the lead - if this sounds up your street, take a look at our Adopt a Society page to see if there’s any of these Societies you’d be interested in reinstating. If you and two friends want to become the President, Vice President, and Communications Officers for one of our inactive societies, please email studentgroups@ljmu.ac.uk. More information on committee positions can be found here.

Start your own!

If there aren’t any societies that are suiting your taste, then make your own! Use our New Student Group Application Form to get started. Your society could be as weird and wacky and as big or small as you’d like so what’s stopping you from enhancing your university experience, making new friends, and learning a variety of new skills today! Whatever idea you have, we can help you set up the society every step of the way so get involved now.

For further information, please email Tom Rigby, Student Development Coordinator: t.rigby@ljmu.ac.uk
