That’s a wrap on our 10th annual Amazing Teaching Awards! Every year we celebrate all of the incredible efforts and hard work put in by staff at LJMU to make their student’s lives & time at university just that little bit better, easier, and more enjoyable. This year, it goes without saying that it’s been even more difficult for teachers to do this.
We are especially grateful to the staff at LJMU this year because, well, it hasn’t been easy to continue that level of teaching and support virtually, and for that we commend you! The circumstances of the past year, however, have meant that this year’s awards have just meant that little bit more to us and to the amazing staff that were nominated and those who took home the awards. It has been our greatest pleasure to read through all of the wonderful nominations submitted by students at LJMU about how incredible their personal tutors, lecturers, and reps have been this year. Cheers to you!
Hosted by Tuba, your VP Academic Quality, the virtual ceremony was attended by over 100 guests yesterday evening, all gathered to celebrate the continued efforts of the uni staff over the past year. We reflected on the year past, we had the chance to read some of the truly inspiring nominations from students, and we handed out the well-deserved awards to this year’s winners!

A huge congratulations to all of this year’s winners. There’s no doubt that without your dedication to the student experience and continued efforts to reduce the disruption to your learning environments, this year would have been much harder for your students.
We can’t wait to do it all over again in person next year!
