The LJMU Fury American Football Team have been crowned North West Division 2a Champions and have secured playoff football for only the second time in their history after beating the University of Liverpool Raptors and continue their unbeaten season after 7 games.
Next season sees the club celebrate 10 years since their formation and for the first time won their North West Division with a game to spare. The club have beaten Edge Hill, Keele and City rivals Universtity of Liverpool twice as well as Bangor, who they play on the 21st February with the aim of finishing the regular season undefeated.
This guaranteed the Fury Playoff football with a fixture against a team from the Scottish division, most likely Edinburgh, in March as the club aim to go one better than the team of 2013/14, who made the playoffs but lost out at the last minute to Hull.
The Fury host their biggest event of the year this Sunday when Super Bowl 50 kicks off in the States between the Denver Broncos and the Carolina Panthers.
