Join With Josh
We now have the dates for the first terms Join With Josh activities set up with the first coming next Tuesday. So without further ado who better to tell you about it than the man himself; our VP Activities Josh!
"Join with Josh is an exciting project that I will be running this year that hopefully will provide many students with new opportunities and a bit of entertainment as well! This idea spawned through the summer officer training where I learnt that a lot of students can be put off from joining a club or society as they feel intimidated to join a group of people that will have already established a community or a ‘clique’. So I thought that maybe I could go and try out some of the activities that some clubs and societies get up to for two reasons:
Firstly I thought, going down and visiting them was important because a lot of the time the Vice President Activities only deals with the committee members so I thought it would be a great idea to meet the members because without them, we wouldn’t have any clubs or societies!
Secondly, the whole idea of a ‘clique’ or community was probably true. So I thought I could tackle that by advertising when I’m going to visit a club or society and then students could come along and join with me!
So that, basically, is what Join with Josh is! I want students that maybe haven’t joined at the start of the year and then have maybe reconsidered, to come along and join up with me. And as well as that I want to speak to members from the clubs and societies to see what they need from me and how I can improve my service to them. sdd
Join with Josh will, no doubt, be a really exciting project this year, with stacks of photos and videos and just in general, hopefully a load of fun. So if you want to come down with me, look out for the dates, times and venues and make sure to join with me!”

Tuesday 14th October - Rowing 6-7pm Liverpool Aquatics Centre
Monday 27th October - Capoeira 7:30-9pm Liverpool School of Cantonese Kung Fu
Sunday 9th November - American Football with LJMU Fury 12pm- Everton Park
Wednesday 26th November - Ice Hockey 9-10pm Widnes Ice Rink
Tuesday 2nd December - Handball - 9-10pm IM Marsh
