We are writing to advise you of an incident that took place last night.
A group of students answered a knock on their door and were met by two men. The men stated they were from the letting agency of the property and were attending to carry out a service of the boiler. There was no 'To Let' board outside the house so this was obviously not a spontaneous act as they had done their homework.
Fortunately the students were suspicious and called the repair line and were advised that no one had been sent to their property.
We believe there is a likelihood that this tactic may be used again and would therefore warn you to be vigilant. Please do not to let anyone into your property unless they can provide them with an ID to prove who they are. If you have any suspicions contact the company that they are allegedly from or local Police (101).
Thank you for your co-operation.
