On Friday 10th October LiverpoolSU, in conjunction of with LJMU Student Advice and Wellbeing, launched LJMU Student Minds in our Activities Space within the John Foster Building. LJMU Student Minds is a student led group all about connecting and sharing your experiences, thoughts and ideas with fellow students on the best way to maintain good mental and physical health and wellbeing.
As part of the launch event, staff of LJMU and LiverpoolSU along with students came together to talk about the effects of positive mental health and wellbeing. They took part in a Nintendo Wii competition, with prizes and a delicious, healthy lunch on offer.
The launch of this society coincided with World Mental Health Day, the annual global celebration of mental health education, awareness and advocacy. As part of this, Dan Cole (Vice President Community Engagement) made a short video highlighting why it's important not to bottle things up, click here to view.
LJMU Student Minds shall be meeting regularly throughout the year. If you're interested in finding out more about LJMU Student Minds click here or email community@ljmu.ac.uk.
