Protect you and your property

Whilst living in student accommodation (or at home) we'd like to remind students not to let anyone into your property without providing evidence that they are who they say they are.

If you haven't reported a fault or disrepair to your landlord or letting agent, you should be particularly cautious and check with the site manager or landlord. You should always be given 24 hours notice before a contractor would attend your property or room to carry out any work.

If you have any issues or queries with a contractor, contact your landlord or letting agent immediately and ask that they leave.

We also advise that students should register their valuable property with Immobilise, the UK national property register. Immobilise helps Police identify the owners of recovered property thousands of times everyday.

For further housing advice, please contact Liverpool Student Homes, the official private housing service of Liverpool John Moores University and LiverpoolSU.
