Pride Quarter Indoor Festival: Saturday 31st July

Liverpool's LGBT+ Venues are joining together to celebrate what would have been Pride in Liverpool. This vast indoor festival will take place over 13 venues and run from midday on Saturday right through to the early hours of Sunday morning.
Alongside the festival, GBar's famous street party will return, as well as an outside beer garden at Masquerade's and pavement cafes at many Victoria Street venues. Providing round-the-clock entertainment with unique guest performers, resident DJs and the scene's best known Drag Queens, you will be sure to have an incredible Pride experience in Liverpool.

Love, Liverpool at the Liverpool Playhouse: Thursday 5th – Saturday 14th

The pride of this city is really in its people. Love, Liverpool brings together the love, loss, and hopes and dreams of a group of strangers through intertwining moments of interaction occurring through a day in the life of our city.
This incredible live show written by local writer Chloe Moss brings to life original letters, commissioned in lockdown, with a cast of local actors and designers capturing the heart of our remarkable city.

Baltic Weekender Music Festival: Friday 13th – Sunday 15th August

Situated in Liverpool's Baltic Triangle, this famous weekend festival returns with another lineup of house, techno, grime and more.
Artists range from Central Cee, Dan Shake, and Daniel Avery to DJ Q, Girls on Deck, and Palms Trax with a packed mixture of other local and national artists. Get ready to dance to your heart's content all night long, with both days having after dark events located at Camp and Furnace and 24 Kitchen Street.

Cinema in the City by FACT: Friday 13th – Sunday 22nd August

FACT presents a new cinematic experience bringing the best new, independent film to extraordinary locations across Liverpool. This event is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to watch critically acclaimed and award-winning movies against eh backdrop of the city's iconic architecture.
Taking place at the Cotton Exchange Rooftop Garden, you have the opportunity to preview local up and coming filmmakers before the premiere and enjoy food and drink served by some of the city's much-loved independents.

Cowherd and the Weaver Girl: Saturday 14th – Saturday 28th August

Artist Laura Brownhill presents a site-specific installation that portrays scenes around the mythological story on which the Chinese festival, Qixi, is based.
Laura designed this installation to look like your stepping into a giant children's popup book to engage you with the story. Qixi is on 14th August, which is also Chinese Valentine's Day, allowing you to celebrate love, culture, friendship and community.
Independent Liverpool Cinema: Tuesday 17th – Sunday 29th August

Liverpool's trendy popup cinema is back! This time it will be located in the iconic Bombed Out Church for two screenings a day for two weeks. You'll have 14 films to choose from, ranging from 90's classics, rom-coms and pure nostalgia.
At the venue, there will also be a fantastic gin bar, special savoury and desert traders, and veggie and vegan options. Screenings are from 5-7 pm and 8-10 pm each night and require pre-booked tickets.

International Beatle Week: Thursday 27th August – Tuesday 1st September

In 2021 it is a little bit different for International Beatle Week. This year, Cavern City Tours bring you a virtual Beatle Week with pre-recorded performances from Beatles tribute acts from all around the world. Since Liverpool's legendary Cavern Club has re-opened its doors, event-goers will be able to watch the pre-recorded performances either at the Cavern Club itself with a reduced capacity or online via social media.
There is a full schedule of liver performances available to watch on giant screens both in the Cavern and Live Lounge stages and the Cavern Club and Facebook.

Creamfields Festival: Thursday 26th – Sunday 29th August

Creamfields is one of the world's best electronic music festival's that returns as big as ever for August's last bank holiday weekend. This year's lineup is no exception in terms of the high calibre of synonymous artists with the Cream name. The festival is located just a short drive from Liverpool in Daresbury, Cheshire, with easily accessible transport links to take you to the event. The festival has several options for enjoying the event with day tickets available and up to 4-day camping tickets of different categories to experience the festival at its fullest.

Liverpool Theatre Festival: Wednesday 1st – Sunday 12th September

Situated at the Bombed Out Church, this award-winning event returns to reinvigorate and boost the city's live performances and creative arts sector following the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Created by Liverpool theatre producer Bill Elms this festival aims to provide a unique platform to showcase talent from across the region involving many theatre genres.

British Musical Fireworks Championship: Friday 24th – Sunday 26th September

Accompanied by synchronised music, this festival is a visual spectacle for all ages. Located just a short train ride away from Liverpool in Southport's Victoria Park, witness firework displays like no other.
Each competitor prepares a 15-minute display for the panel of professional judges to mark. The winner will be announced at the closing ceremony on Sunday.
