I would like there to be a partnership with Arriva bus company and John Moores Student Union. I recently saw that Uni of Liverpool Student Union has partnered with Arriva bus company to offer their students bus passes at discounted rates. I would like John Moores Student Union to have a similar partnership with Arriva so they can offer their students this as well. I have attached the pricing of what Arriva are offering to Uni of Liverpool students.

To add to my campaign further, I know that Arriva already offer a student bus pass for students at any university, however many students are still unable to afford this. I recently found out that Uni of Liverpool offers their students an exclusive student bus pass that is further discounted than the normal pass that Arriva offers. I am campaigning to get the same or a similar bus pass with Arriva for students at John Moores. My reason behind this is that many students do not live in the city centre, especially 2nd and 3rd year students, and students who live at home. This makes travelling to uni harder, particularly in the winter months when it gets darker sooner and the weather is colder. Also, some students may feel safer travelling to uni on a bus during the autumn and winter months particularly, when it is almost dark by the time they finish their lectures. Please join me in helping the students at Liverpool John Moores University travel to uni safely and at a cheaper rate that is affordable to all.
