Academic Support Volunteers

Details Hide[-]

IntoUniversity Academic Support runs after school to support students aged 7-18 with their academics, confidence and study skills.

Primary students  study our tailored, termly curriculum which is based on university degree subjects and also supports their Maths and English skills.

Secondary students have a more flexible space to work on homework, revision or research their future options. They have access to essential resources that they may not have at home such as books, university prospectuses and computers, as well as trained staff and volunteers.

Volunteers may work with small groups or individual students helping them with their learning and confidence with full support from staff. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills working with young people as well as acting as an inspirational role model helping to make a real difference to the lives of our young people.

We have two Merseyside centres in Anfield and Kirkby and volunteers' preferred location will be taken into account. Please note this is an on-going opportunity and we can take volunteers at any time.

We do not want the expense of travel to prohibit an individual from volunteering, however, as a charity we have a limited budget for our activities.
If you feel that you are unable to volunteer without travel being reimbursed, please speak to us about this.
