Wellbeing

Wellbeing goes hand in hand with mental health, and although a lot of these services intertwine with one another, it’s important to showcase certain topics in different categories. You can visit our Mental Health section if you can’t find the right service for you If you are unsure where to start, please get in touch and we can point you in the right direction.

Buddy Scheme

We have a team of students that buddy up with incoming and new students to help them find their feet, make new friends, and become engaged with new circles of friends. Being at university can be such a daunting and overwhelming experience, that’s why we want to make the process as easy as possible for everyone. You can visit our Buddy Scheme page to find out more.

Disability Advice Team

LJMU have a dedicated Disability Advice Team to ensure that disabled students get the support they need. You can find lots of information on the LJMU website.

Drug and Alcohol Support

JMSU and LJMU have a policy for drug & alcohol usage that is both your responsibility and right to be aware of if you decide to consume alcohol or drugs.

JMSU want to prioritise the safety and wellbeing of our students and encourage you to reach out for help if you feel you are suffering from addiction, your mental health and wellbeing are being impacted by drugs or alcohol, or you think you may have experienced spiking. Below are helpful links to our advice service, LJMU’s Student Advice and Wellbeing (SAW) service and some essential external services.
