My priorities

1. Improve women's safety - Create and expand on current iniatives for women's safety.  

2. Enhance mental health support - I will set weekly well-being drop in sessions for students.  

3. Increase support for neurodivergent students - Ensure that neurodivergent students are fully assisted in their learning. 

Hi! My name is Etienne Lewis-Jarvis, I am running for the position of Community and Well-being. I am committed to improving the lives of students and ensuring they feel safe, supported, and connected during their time at LJMU.  

My experience and skills:   

I am currently studying Psychology at LJMU and have a strong background in leadership and community service.  

-2023/24 Captain of the Women’s 3rd Hockey team,developing skills in teamwork, leadership, and supporting others.  

-Volunteering at Samaritans has given me experience in offering emotional support and responding to welfare concerns. 

-Working in hospitality and a student letting company,has equipped me with strong communication and organisational skills.  

If elected I would aim to:    

- Improve Women’s Safety: Introduce initiatives that focus on creating safer spaces for women, including enhanced safety measures and support networks on and off campus.  

- Enhance mental health support: Implement regular mental health drop-in sessions and work to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health by making services more accessible and open to all students.   

- Increase support for Neurodivergent students: Ensure that neurodivergent students have the resources and support they need, advocating for more tailored services.  

I believe these aims will have a positive impact, addressing key areas of concern, safety, mental health, and inclusivity. By focusing on these issues, I will create a supportive, connected, and caring environment for students, making sure no one feels alone.
